What did we do?
Access Legal from Shoosmiths was instructed to bring a claim against the operator of the holiday lodge citing lack of signage. The compensation claim is currently pending.
Background
Mr M was staying at a lodge, in Utah, and decided to go on a snowmobile on a cross-country trail/course with other lodge guests. The course was a circuit, which started and ended in the same place. Participants started at different times so that their progress around the trail was staggered. A lack of signage at the start of the course meant that some participants went left and some went right. Half-way round the course, Mr M collided with someone coming the other way.
Mr M fractured his skull, his helmet came off and he experienced a serious head injury. He also fractured his jaw, cheek bone, leg and arm. He was a high-earner and was unable to work following the accident.
Who dealt with the case?
