What did we do?
Access Legal from Shoosmiths brought a claim against the operator of the Nile cruise for failing to provide a safe means of access to and from a cruise ship. Liability was denied and Court proceedings were issued. In those court proceedings, Access Legal from Shoosmiths successfully obtained £7,000 compensation for Miss W.
Background
Miss W went on a Nile cruise excursion, and when she returned she had to pass through other cruise ships to return to the one she was aboard. Unfortunately, she fell in a gap between two ships and suffered a gash to her shin, requiring medical treatment.
On her return to the UK she contacted Access Legal from Shoosmiths. After the issue of court proceedings, we obtained compensation for the injury and loss of enjoyment of holiday.
