Access Legal from Shoosmiths took the case through to conclusion, initially advising the teacher under the terms of her legal expense insurance policy, and then under a no-win-no-fee agreement.
The teacher suffered fractures to her forearm and a serious injury to her shoulder after falling down a flight of stairs at her school. We persuaded the teacher's employers to agree a 90/10 liability split in favour of the teacher.
The teacher had to undergo a total shoulder replacement, but sadly the result was poor, and the teacher was left with a virtually useless shoulder with deteriorating pain.
The claim settled shortly before trial for approximately £264,000.
