Hairdresser complaints: have you had a hair raising experience?

This is even more surprising when you think about the chemical solutions used for bleaching, colouring, perming and straightening hair.
When these solutions are incorrectly mixed or applied, serious burns to the skin and scalp may occur, resulting in blistering, itchiness, scarring, hair loss, and in extreme circumstances, baldness.
These types of injuries are in addition to the more obvious ones such as cuts to the skin or ears by scissors or burns from hot curling tongs when a hairdresser lacks the requisite skill or has a lapse in concentration.
If a hairdresser is going to apply a chemical solution to your hair and you've not previously had that type of solution applied to your hair, you should ensure they conduct a skin patch and hair strand test, to check your reaction to the application of that chemical solution.
We've previously acted for many clients, some of whom have had their wedding plans ruined, due to the actions of their hairdresser.
If you too are unlucky and suffer an injury or hair damage due to your hairdresser, we can help you get compensation from their insurers.
