Motorbike accidents

It's a fact that you're more vulnerable on two wheels than four. People involved in motorbike accidents are 40 times more likely to be killed or injured than car drivers or passengers.

As if that wasn't enough, maintaining vigilance while you ride won't necessarily help either.   80% of motorbike accidents are caused by someone else's negligence.  It's not just other road users who cause problems for bikers.  Local authorities have a legal duty to maintain roads, but highway defects, debris, potholes, and diesel spillages can cause real problems.   If you've been involved in a motorbike accident we can help.

Choosing the right solicitor

With more than 20 years' experience of dealing with motorbike accident claims, our specialist biker team provides the highest levels of expertise and professionalism to ensure you get back on the road to recovery.   You may have been directed to a solicitor by your insurance company, but you are not obliged to use them. Claims following motorbike accidents require specialist knowledge and it is important to research the solicitors you instruct to make sure they have relevant bike claims' experience. Our biker team can help if you've been injured in a motorbike, scooter or moped accident and wish to claim for compensation.  Even if you are partly to blame, we might still be able to help you recover damages.

Expert enthusiasts

Our motor team members run their own bike blog and you can also find us on Facebook. Many of our biking specialists are riders themselves, so they know first hand the issues faced when dealing with bike claims. We're familiar with insurers' arguments and case law.  We know that when people say a biker was speeding, the impression is often due only to the noise a bike makes. We have successfully fought off such arguments many times.  Our top priority is to secure the maximum settlement amount for you as soon as possible. We have partnerships with leading treatment and rehabilitation providers, together with specialist motorcycle medical practitioners, bike specialist accident investigators, and barristers specialising in motorbike accidents.

Making a claim

Difficult to do in the heat of the moment we know, but it's important to collect as much evidence as you can after a motorbike accident. If you are able, write down details of witnesses who saw what happened. If the accident was the result of a road defect, hazard or spillage outside a place of work, school or house, talk to people in those places to see how long the hazard has been there and whether they have reported it to anyone. Take photographs of the defect, hazard or spillage, preferably including a ruler or some other standard size item in the picture.  As with all accident claims, keep all receipts for any out of pocket expenses, such as prescriptions, treatment and travel costs incurred.

Legal costs: no-win-no-fee

We must ensure there is a funding arrangement in place to avoid you losing part of your compensation and legal fees. We can talk you through various funding options and advise you on the best one for your circumstances. In most cases we will act on your behalf on a no-win-no-fee basis, meaning you retain 100% of your compensation.  So if you are unhappy with the advice, level of service or estimated costs of the solicitor you were instructed to contact by your insurer,  why not contact us for free, independent advice?
