Phil acts solely for patients and their families. He has a broad range of experience in medical negligence cases, including surgical errors, misdiagnosis, pharmaceutical mistakes, nerve damage, nursing negligence, child birth trauma and fatal claims. He has specialist interest in healthcare-associated infection cases and in 2005 settled the first reported case involving the negligent contraction of MRSA. He regularly represents clients at inquest and has been involved in a number of high profile cases.
Phil trained at Hugh James and qualified in 2000, before moving to Anthony Collins, where he attained Associateship. He joined Shoosmiths in November 2009 and was made Partner in May 2011.
