Sarah has a special interest in higher value cases especially those arising from delays in diagnosis, fatalities, neurological injuries and brain injuries in children as a consequence of poor maternity care. She strives to achieve the optimum results for her clients and for them to regain their quality of life following what is for so many a traumatic time.

She recently secured a 6 figure settlement for a widower and father of 2 young children following their mother’s death as a result of a delayed diagnosis of necrotising fasciitis leading to streptococcal toxic shock.

She also advised a client who had suffered a delay in diagnosing tuberculosis in a joint which led to a lifetime of disability and who was awarded a substantial 6 figure sum as a result.

Sarah has advised a child where there was an admitted delay in diagnosing meningitis leading to a substantial settlement.

She has also advised an elderly woman who became immobile following a fall in hospital due to admitted negligent nursing care.

Sarah also achieved a multi-million pound award as a result of substandard spinal surgery for a young mother of 4 children.

Sarah has been ranked in Chambers since 2014 where the comments include “She is intelligent and shrewd, and really gets to the bottom of the issue” and “She is praised for her ability to explain legal terminology in layman’s terms”

Clients have said “The process was explained to me in great detail, allowing me to feel ownership and control throughout” (JW) and “Sarah was professional throughout the whole procedure. She kept me informed at all times and made the case run smoothly. She made it personal – she is an asset to your firm” (RW) and “Throughout... she has been very professional and sensitive to our feelings... she made a difficult situation easier” (AB)

Sarah has been a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Specialist Panel since 2012.
